We’ve been busy here at WLC and we want to let you in on some exciting updates. First, we have officially changed our name from Women’s Leadership Conference to Women’s Leadership Connection.
Because WLC is all about connecting—and not just at our annual conference—but throughout the year. We want you to connect with us, the community and, most important, one another. In fact, we want to be your go-to destination for learning, growing and networking.
Part of that commitment includes this website. While you’re here, we invite you to check out our beautiful new look and streamlined functionality. We want to make it easier for you to access information about our conference, activities, and events. Our awesome site was designed and developed by Andrea Godard from Limantour Design, who had so much fun working with our team she joined us as a volunteer!
Our first event (under our current board) at the Urban Cork on November 8th was a huge hit. We sold out in only two days, so be sure to keep an eye out for updates about our next event on February 15, 2024 and register early. (Hint: it’s all about recruiting your own personal board of directors!)
The Mentorship Program is now a year-round initiative. Registration has closed and we got an overwhelming response from both potential mentors and mentees. If you applied, you’ll be hearing more about that by the year’s end.
Next up, we are planning a free webinar series that we’re calling W-Extras (like extras from WLC, get it?), monthly Zoom webinars on all kinds of topics from how to use AI, to writing a book, to mindfulness. We’d love to hear what topics most interest you, so feel free to send your topic suggestions with W-Extras in the subject line to [email protected].
Finally, we need your help so we can better serve you. We are looking for a volunteer social media manager to help us get the word out about all of WLC’s programs. And, critically important, we need more sponsors to help us grow. If your company or business wants to be part of our mission, please send an email to [email protected].
