The mission of the Women’s Leadership Connection of Southern Oregon is to foster leadership in business, government, and nonprofit organizations that more fully reflects our community.
The vision of the Women’s Leadership Connection is to serve professional women in our community with leadership and career development opportunities.
In service of this mission and vision, and with the support of generous donors, each year we offer need-based scholarships to conference attendees.
Conference scholarships have historically been offered to:
- Students
- Those underrepresented in their field of work and community circles (including but not limited to ability, age, class, ethnicity, gender, language, nation of origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, and other identities.)
- Rural residents
- Those who have never attended a professional conference before
- Professionals returning to work after a significant absence or seeking work
- Those who are self-employed or entrepreneurs
- New professionals in their industry
- Those experiencing financial hardship

Thanks to Rogue Valley Metaphysical Library, our scholarship sponsor, we were able to offer scholarships to our 2024 WLC Conference.
We were able to provide partial need-based scholarships for 10% of available conference seats this year as well as a reduced registration fee for students.
Each year the scholarship amount varied depending on the number of applicants and the available budget.
